If a number looks wrong
Open Ledger in the app and find the component. Every row shows what changed, by how much, which order caused it, at which location, and which version of the recipe was used. If a row shouldn’t be there, the revert button writes a compensating entry — nothing is ever erased, so the history stays honest.
If the ledger and Shopify disagree, the Reconciliation page will usually already be showing a drift alert explaining the gap. Drift almost always means something outside Kit Ledger changed the count: a manual edit in the admin, another app, or a transfer. Accepting the correction there writes the fix through Shopify and records it in the ledger.
Getting started
Add a recipe for one variant first and place a test order to watch the deduction land. Once that looks right, import the rest of your catalog from a CSV — Recipes → Import takes an export of your own recipes in the same format it produces, so you can round-trip edits in a spreadsheet.
When you write in
Including these makes a fix much faster:
- your
.myshopify.comdomain - the order number or component involved
- what you expected the count to be, and what it was
Billing and cancellation
Kit Ledger is $24/month with a 14-day free trial, billed through Shopify. Uninstalling the app cancels the subscription. See the Terms for details, and the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data afterward.
